Post Basic BSc Nursing is a 2-year UG program designed for registered nurses to advance their professional knowledge and skills. Post-BSc Nursing equips nurses with a deeper understanding of nursing practices, patient care, and healthcare management. Post Basic BSc Nursing is ideal for those seeking career growth and higher responsibilities in the nursing profession.

Upon graduating with a Post BSc Nursing course, candidates can opt for job profiles such as Registered Nurses, Nursing Instructors, Staff Nurses, Rehabilitation Specialists, Critical Care Nurses, etc.

Eligibility Criteria

Education

  • 10+2 class passed with Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) & English Core/Elective with aggregate of 45% (or 40% for reserved categories) marks from recognized board.
  • Students can also be eligible with a vocational stream in health care or other recognized streams like Arts, Mathematics, and English.
  • You must hold a diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) from an approved institute.

Age

  • Minimum age of 17 years.

Other Requirements

  • Candidates must be medically fit. 
  • You must be registered as a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife (RNRM) with the State Nurses Registration Council.
  • Some institutions may specify a minimum period of work experience as a registered nurse after your GNM qualification.
